Words

I am writing a blog after a long time... and here is it

Lawrence George Durrell, an expatriate British novelist, poet, dramatist, and travel writer wrote

"There are only three things to be done with a woman. You can love her, suffer for her, or turn her into literature."

Since I am a woman, this is my verdict J

"There are only three ways to suffer. You can deal with it, create a chaos because of it, or turn it into literature."

Sounds funny? But believe me it works. Alcohol can only pause the stream of thoughts but putting it down on a paper, word by word to build phrases channelizes it and helps me understand it better. It's like taking a pause and trying to fathom the enigma, it's like trying to figure out from those lines what has been actually bothering me, what has led to those sleepless nights, and what exactly has devalued me. I sometimes feel it is more important to communicate with myself in those wee hours of morning or night than with others. I had read somewhere that the heart always knows what is right. Haven't you ever felt that writing down what is in your heart and reading it out to yourself is the best way to deal with the conundrums life throws at you? I think our subconscious needs to communicate with our conscious mind and sometimes someone else's mind that is searching for similar clues.

Stephen King wrote, "Fiction is the 'truth' inside the lie". I feel such lies can therefore heal.
